Draft: Pours a deep yellow/gold with a light haze. Small white head and light lacing. Nose is mild and sweeter with malt than hops; a little fruity. Tastes a little grassey with some citrus hops notes. Pretty mild and uninspiring pale.

Draft Old Boise Brewfest: Medium brown color with a small beige head. Smells light of malt and just a hint of hops. Overcarbonation made it hard to really pick out much more than caramel malt and some faint hops.

On Tap at the Boise Ram. Cloudy orange/amber with a thin but dense white head. Persistant spiderweb lacing leaving a disticnt ring after each quaff. Odd malty aroma, a bit fruity. I thought they gave me the amber at first as there was so little hop aroma. Flavor was pretty light and fairly hoppy....for an amber. Weird hay like notes as well. A dissapointing Pale.

From the Seattle Ram. Hazy amber colour. Attractive loose head. Assertive woody, raw hop nose (it’s Ahtanum, Amarillo, Horizon). Hoppy (grapefruit, wood) and fairly bitter (45IBUs) character. The malts are almost nonexistant but what there is is a bit toasty. They used rye in this, but I’m not noticing it (as usual). The thinness and toastiness detracts from a nice use of hops.

From the Seattle Ram, same as what my brother had last year. Very pale yellow. Bleached white head. The aroma is flowery/perfumey. Flavour is light, with much of the same light perfumey character. The finish just drops right off the face of the earth, though. I mean, I thought I was drinking a beer but then, pow, I wasn’t. Rather mediocre.
