Gulden Spoor
Microbrewery
in Gullegem,
West Flanders,
Belgium 🇧🇪
Associated Venue: ’t Rusteel
Established in 2001

Bottle. A more or less clear one, dark golden to orange in color and with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. The aroma is sweetish and fruity, with some resins and a touch of caramel and dried fruit. Flavor wise it’s quite bitter, with fruityness, resin and a little maltyness. Soft carbonation, full body. Short, resiny and bitter finish with some fruityness. A decent one. 120622

Bottle from Beer Planet, Bruxelles
Dark mahogany color with red hue, hazy; creamy head. The aroma is nice, subtle, with malt, light cellar impression, trace of dark chocolate. Good smooth body, but the flavor is rather simple: caramel, quite sweet, with some sweet liquorice; low bitterness; some candi sugar too.
Easy.

Infinite gusher, therefore cloudy amber color with giant frothy head. The aroma is a bit skunky, with light cabbage. Sweetish anonymous flavor, without many flaws, light sweet liquorice and with very low bitterness.
Even without the refermentation problem, it would be a simple beer.

33cl Bottle at Lost Property. IPA? Wow.. Clear deep ruby amber colour, creamy off white head. Aroma is very sweet, candy, light hoppy, caramel, toasted malts. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel, cotton candy, bitter hoppy finish with a grainy touch. Light to medium bodied. Not bad, but not an IPA by far.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Gusher!! Huge head that disappears quickly. Hazy yellow color. Smell malts, a bit hay and straw. Taste malts, some bitter, lightly sweet. Medium carbo, medium body.

Bottled (from beerplanet.eu). Hazy orangeish golden colour with a huge off-white head. Minor beerfountan when opening, so beware. Aroma is spices, sweet malts, mild alcohol and some fruityness as well. Flavour is quite similar. Easy to drink even though the quite high abv.

33cl bottle thanks to Dutchdrebus. Hazy, a bit pale yellow color, small white head that quickly becomes a small lacing. Smell malts, koriander, rubber and paint. Taste herbs or spices, probably koriander again, not much more. Low body, low to medium carbonation, weak taste. A bit unbalanced as well.

Bottle @ home. Hazy light yellow colour with a decent white head that’s gone fairly quickly. Smells some banana, yeast, malts and a lot of coriander. Tastes very sweet, some banana hints, spices (coriander again mostly) and slightly watery. Thin body, lacking in carbo. It’s like a weizener.
