Bottle pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is big sweet chocolate bourbon barrel booze vanilla maple and a crisp coffee. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate bourbon barrel notes coffee vanilla cream and a maple syrup end.

Subdued, with a gentle grapefruit pith center accented by mild peach, berry, and pineapple notes, followed by a lackadaisical citric bitterness on the finish. White bread and lemon pop up in the fade. Eh.

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a small, brown head. The nose is hazelnut, mild cherry, dark cocoa, vanilla, dark coffee, and caramel. Sweet and malty, with a mild roasty bitterness. Heavy body, with a syrupy, lightly acidic palate. This is a delicious and interesting stout.

Fairly hazy golden coloured body with a light peach and orange coloured tint with a faint off-white head that fades immediately after pouring. Aroma of soured grapes, lemons with a lot of brett notes, some dry malt and grain and then showing a good deal of earl grey tea leaves (not brewed tea) with a distinct lavender and almost bergamotey scent as well with some lemons in the nose. Light-bodied; Sharp lemon and brett flavours dominate with some sour and tart elements throughout, but the earl grey tea notes are vibrant and up front and show well, if very elegantly and lightly, on top of some smooth and dry malts. Aftertaste shows some softer and very subdued tart and soured elmeents from the lemons and fruits, but a lot of bretty funkiness going on from the yeast and mild wheat side of the house as well, but at the very end, is the tea and deep notes that are noticeable but hit so softly, that you wouldn't even expect them. Overall, a very understated and eclectic beer that shows very well, if you already know what to look for here, but otherwise, it's so mild and soft that it's hard to pick up on the tea leaves and the light malt components. That said, it is a good beer, perhaps, because of the softness and mild character, but full-of-flavour that this beer happens to be. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Hop City, at the Krog Street Market in Atlanta, Georgia on 30-May-2018 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 18-February-2020 on an unusually warm [winter] day here in town.
