On tap at Callister, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is rather heavy on the English malt, with toasted nuts, metallic notes and bready malt. Flavour is almost exactly the same, with caramely bready malt, some crusty rye bread and some metallic notes. The English quality is very prominent. Clean and correctly brewed, but not terribly exciting. Decent.

Draught at Callister
Hazy light amber color. A bit of malt, but a paper feeling too; as it often happens, the honey doesn’t leave a big trace, and instead the mouthfeel if honey beers tends to be dry; correct bitterness. No flaws, at least.
Very simple Blonde Ale.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy golden color with no head. Light aroma of paper. Dry and weak mouthfeel, the malts have some biscuity character, very light citrusy trace from the hops, disturbing pithy bitterness in the final.
Not a train wreck, but we don’t need this beer.

Cask at Callister
Dark brown color, rather clean, with generous beige head. The gentle coffee aroma and flavor adds a dimension to the otherwise simple Alt, making it more enjoyable; stronger roastiness and bitterness in the final.

Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 2 | Overall - 6

Draught at Callister
Dark mahogany color with beige head. Some caramel, light roasted nuts presence; lean and clean like an Altbier is expected, but with too much roastiness in the final, so much that the ending is unpleasant.
Not too bad, but should be tuned.
Not much like the beers you would find is Düsseldorf.

Bright Amber color with small head. Mild aroma of malts, earthy, spicy. Good body, moderately sweet, it has a very good spicy character from the rye, earthy, strong bitterness, nice yeast touch, and some bitter oranges in the final.
Powerful, rustic, good.

Draught at Callister
Cloudy light amber / orange color with small and dissipating head. Smell of dirty water, yeast, fart in an elevator, light apricot. Thin body, extremely yeasty, astringent, metallic, with mild apricot juice presence; low bitterness.
Not good, and I’m kind.

Cask at Callister
Cloudy dark blond color. Solid Belgian Ale, moderately sweet; the pieces seem to come together for La Grande Maison; a bit perfumy; decent spicy character, very light fruity esters; I can’t feel much of the adjuncts though, that may be not a big issue.
Nice.
