On tap at Irish Caskival at YBC. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma and taste are slightly sour, winey, dark fruits, roasted malt. Roasted malt aftertaste.

Cask at Callister
Cloudy golden color with small compact head. It has some light fruitiness but not evident what fruit this is. A bit cleaner than the Peach Kiss tasted in parallel, not so much yeast or metallic feeling, but still a rather forgettable Ale.

Cask at Callister, Vancouver
Hazy dark amber color with thick head. Aroma of malt and cheese, mild. Good body strength; unfortunately it doesn’t have the malt depth of a good Barley Wine, instead it’s loaded of vegetables notes leading to chicory finish. It’s moderately sweet, it has some fruity esters, and the alcohol is not too pronounced.
In line with a few old British Barley Wines, which is not a compliment.

Cask at Big Rock Urban, Vancouver; dry hopped with Citra, 12 oz
Hazy dark amber color with generous compact beige head. The aroma has a lot of yeast, and old hops. Soft mouthfeel, good body structure, quite good malt flavor, some caramel, moderately sweet; the hops are very resiny, a bit harsh, I’d think of PNW hops and not of English hops. The final is too yeasty.
It’s a rustic, dirty, but bold IPA, a bit US old style.

Cask at the Callister
Black color, beige thick head. Mild notes of whiskey and dark malts, and apples. The mouthfeel is soft, it has some dark malt and chocolate flavor, not much residual sugars, the body is quite thin, the carbonation is low, the dark malts bring some acidity, and I’m not sure if I taste whiskey, but I do taste apple. And the more I think about it, the more I feel the yeast.
Not totally bad, but it’s weird.

On cask at Callister, pours a cloudy dark copper orange with a small white head. Aroma smells like pure root beer - nothing else to say about the nose. Flavour isn't quite as pronounced. Tastes like watered down root beer. Would rather just drink root beer than this. Fun experiment no doubt but not exactly good.

Draft - Cask - Light peach. Hazy gold. Light fruit and some fruity astringency. Not very nice.
