5.4/10 β€” Appearance 8 Aroma 5 Flavor 5 Texture 4 Overall 5.5
Cask at Callister
Golden hazy color with frothy head. Aroma and flavor are yeasty and bready, it has expectedly low carbonation and warm temperature; it has a bit of toffee malt, and the bitterness is lower than any English Bitter; light Band Aid; the high yeast presence creates astringency in the final. Not bad, but to be improved.

Cask at Callister
Hazy golden color, small head. Delicate nutty aroma and flavor; weak and dry mouthfeel; low bitterness; ends with a bit too much astringency; persistent maple feeling; timid malt and hop job here; not bad, although it’s ’easy’ to reach more flavor just adding adjuncts.
Pleasant.

5.2/10 β€” Appearance 8 Aroma 5 Flavor 5 Texture 4 Overall 5
Cask at Callister
Golden color, clean, with frothy head. Smells of stale beer and honey, very light. Dry, weak; it has basically no carbonation; a very simple malt profile, infinitesimal crackers, traces of honey; the ending bitterness has a vegetable character, hence not very pleasant.
Another timid, low effort beer from this brewery.
It’s difficult to get the point here.

Cask at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Blond color, hazy. Low carbonation, warm, a bit of peach and a lot of yeast. Low bitterness, a bit papery. Unprofessional cask.

Cask at Callister
Golden color, just hazy, with generous compact head. The aroma is minty, perfumy (think of old lady at the theatre perfume). The malts have a light toffeeish note, but the body is too weak; it’s quite dry, but smooth; it has some undefined fruity touch, so the rhubarb has been wisely dosed here.
Pleasant, sessionable, but simplistic.

2015-08-30, gravity dispense at Callister, dry hopped with Golding, 4-3-5-2-10=24
Hazy golden color, no head. Aroma of apples, this flaw is called acetaldehyde. The mouthfeel is completely flat and rather warm; it seems soft; it has a bit of toffeeish malt flavor, a lot of yeast, hence astringency in the final, and some vegetables; astringent too.
Even by English standards, unpolished and chaotic.

2015-08-14, cask at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 5-3-2-1-5=16
Cloudy dark blond color with generous (sprinkler) head. Aroma of yeast, bread, fermenting fruit. Low carbonation, but correct temperature; loaded with yeast, hence very astringent and a bit metallic; also light residual sweetness, and again a feeling of rotting fruit, possibly traces of diacetyl.
I’m amazed that this can be sold, or maybe, being Vancouver, I’m not.
Disgusting.

5.2/10 β€” Appearance 6 Aroma 5 Flavor 6 Texture 4 Overall 5
Cask at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Golden color, hazy, with compact sprinkler head. Bread and butter aroma, raw chicken. Bread flavor, a bit of cereals, corn, hay, soft mouthfeel hiding the dryness, ordinary bitterness, and traces of butter again.
Not well executed, although you can find a number of beers like this in England.

6.5/10 β€” Appearance 10 Aroma 6 Flavor 6 Texture 6 Overall 6
Cask at Callister
Beautiful golden color, clean, with medium head. A bit earthy and grassy, with a touch of toffee; dry but not weak; there is a light fruity note in the final, although not clearly cranberry. Easy, drinkable, but also gets points for being very clean.

6.2/10 β€” Appearance 8 Aroma 6 Flavor 6 Texture 6 Overall 6
Cask at Callister
Hazy golden color. Dry mouthfeel, quite dry, a bit too weak, but with decent malt presence, and the hazelnut (syrup) is delicate and blends well with the rest; some chestnut feeling in the final; correct bitterness. Light astringency.
Nice British old style Golden Ale.

Hazy golden color, large sprinkler head. Smooth, creamy, with cream flavor, apple aroma (acetaldehyde?), light fruity touch.
Messy, but drinkable.
