On cask at Callister, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals lots of wood, roasted malt and a sort of toasted almond quality. Flavour is very similar, revealing loads of roasted malt, toasted almonds, dark cocoa, and English bready malt. Very full-bodied, with a thick palate and an almost abrasive flavour profile. Really nice stuff.

Cask at Callister
Black color with light brown small persistent head. A blend of dark biscuity malts, cocoa and roasted nuts, over a soft mouthfeel and bold body, and a slightly coffeish aroma. Very light acidity from the dark malts, and traces of vanilla.

On cask at Callister, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of toasted bread. Flavour is quite bready and chocolatey, with milk chocolate, medium sweetness and a nice bready bitterness on the finish. Well-balanced with a good body. The best Real Cask beer thus far.

On cask at Callister, pours a hazy dark amber brown with a small white head. Nose and flavour are quite perfumey and medicinal, with almond syrup and perfume. Good call on the brewer dumping this cask, as it's rather vile.

On cask at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and English hops, pretty herbal. Flavour has English hops, biscuity malt and buttery diacetyl. Smooth on the palate due to the cashing, which obscure the off-notes. Meh.

On cask at Callister, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is light with subtle cranberries and subdued bready English malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with cranberries upfront over an unmistakable English malt body. Light and smooth. Decent but boring.

Draft - Floral Berry notes. Pale gold with a decent white head. Light Berry and peppery notes with a touch of cumin. Odd for sure.

Draft - Light stone fruit and caramel/butterscotch. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Biscuit, little bitter vegetal notes and twig. En point with what I would get in England.

Cask - Very light prune and toffee. Deep clear dark brown with a nice rich beige head. Light toasty notes, touch of raisin and a light finish. Not bad, especially for BC, but not as complex as it could be.

Cask @ Callister. Amber bitter, thin head. Touch of butter on the nose....same on palate with some blueberry fruitiness. Some nice juiciness on the palate is pretty authentic. I won’t order a pint until the diacetyl is gone, though.
