Draft - Perfumy, herbal and rubbing alcohol. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Ginger, perfumy spice and herbs. Very different, but not too bad.

Light golden amber, thin head. Vaguely herbal aroma. Soft, sweet, berries and nettle. Gruit is usually complex but this one is really quite simple. Still, it’s nice. No real source of bitterness but the nettle character is really good.

On cask at 12 Kings, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is messy as hell, with tea bag, earthy muffled hops and some odd fruitiness. Flavour is astringent on the hops, with subdued tea and some obscured stone fruits. All over the place, astringent and abrasive otherwise. No good.

On cask at Callister, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out mango syrup, not much else. Flavour is lightly tart, with lots of artificial juicy mangoes. Not terrible, but nothing much to this. Meh.

Draught at Callister, Vancouver
Dark mahogany color with frothy head. Mild aroma of medicinal syrup. Soft mouthfeel, some chocolate flavor, and mild medicinal herb.
I don’t see the point, but the beer is not offensive.

On cask at Callister, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of repulsive artificial herbal notes and toasted malt. Flavour is no more inviting, with the nasty fake herbal notes dominating. Dreadful. Real Cask does it again.

Golden-amber, medium head. Looks nice. Aroma is a touch of brown sugar... on the palate a ton of alcohol, phenols, sticky and malts. A real shitshow - just has a lot of messy elements, nothing good in there, and nothing comes together in any way.

On cask at Callister, pours a clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of bready malt, subdued caramel and floral English dry hopping. Flavour is very bitter, with the floral English dry hopping dominating this, leaving minor traces of sweet caramel malt underneath. Very abrasive in hoppy bitterness with little depth. Not refined at all, nor even fun in its erraticness.

Draft - Slight higher alcohols with some vomit. Clear copper. Lots of woody cedar notes and a long finish.

Cask at Callister, Vancouver
Light amber color, just hazy, with sprinkler head. Aroma of sweat, old socks, hop bag, and delicate fruitiness; quite true English BW aroma. Good body strength, yet the mouthfeel is not too thick; moderate malt depth, some nuts, evident (British?) yeast character, and a fundamental earthy character; mild alcohol warmth in the final.
Quite good.
