Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber gold with a slight white head. Aroma is dank and piney. Med body at least. Flavor is dank, piney, citrus; malt is detectable. Really strong flavors. Sacramento enters the NW IPA competition! Bitter, dank finish.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a clear amber color with a khaki head. The aroma has big banana plum notes with light spices. The flavor is a bit more spicy and yeasty with some cinnamon and pepper along with nice rich caramel, dark fruity fig, plum and only light hints of banana that come across as hints of banana pudding. Good full body and a bit oily on the palate. Malt character is on point with expressive, yet subdued yeast character. This is not a style I usually get excited about, but this was really well done and enjoyable.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown/black with a dark tan head. Aroma of dark malt and coffee. Med body or so. Flavor is dark malt, moderate coffee, and arguably some chocolate. There seems to be Belgian yeast/spice - but maybe that’s the coffee. Not a huge amount of anything specific, except coffee, but it’s a good drink.

On tap at Beer Revolution. It pours a nice clear light golden color with a white head. The aroma is nice and tropical with some berry fruit and a hint of spice. Sweet passionfruit, orange and a little floral. The flavor is very strong with spicy menthol, tropical lime, passionfruit and mango in the background. Solid bitterness. I was really surprised by this one. Very good!

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear coppery amber with a white head. Aroma seems a little nutty and/or chocolate. Med body. Flavor seems malty, a little bitter, uncertain about nutty - but seems so, still getting a chocolate note. IMHO it’s tastier, and more bitter than many ambers.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold, possibly with a light orange hue, and a not very large white head. Aroma is floral, yet seems to have some dankness. Med + body. Flavor is floral with some dank evergreen aspect supported by a nice caramel. With time I think the "evergreen" is pine. Quite hoppy. Burning a bit. Finishes quite bitter.
