Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Black, small head. Aroma of salmiaky licorice with notes of coffee and dates. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Treacle, licorice and dates. Long bitter warming finish. A solid piece.

Backlog November 2009. Dark brown, almost black body under a nice, dense beige head. Aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate, moderate roasted and Christmas spices. Taste is sweet, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, hint of coffee, anise, ginger, cinnamon, clove and warming alcohol. Medium body with same aftertaste as the rest. Nice beer with a Christmas feeling.
