Hazy dark amber with a frothy off-white head. Anise aroma with some malt and a touch of apple in the background. The label scared me: I hate when anise is allowed to overpower a beer. And I was right, there is way too much of it. There is actually a strong malty backbone that could carry some spice, but unfortunately it’s overdone. Still, it’s the best I have had in the ruined-by-anise category.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Hazy amber golden with a white head. Lightly sweet, fruity aroma. Medium body with a dry malt base and a dry, lightly tart finish. The lime fruit is not really shining through - other than with adding some acidity. 140308

Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly lasting head. Light amber colour. Moderate malty aroma. Loads of anisnotes ofcourse. Heavy sweet flavor. Average finsih. Powerfull anis-flavor. Almost too much even for me. Syruply palate. Strange beer that is difficult to like if you dont like anis/licorice.

Bottle. Brew# RØ03 BBF:11 Maj 2008. Clear medium amber color with a virtually none appearance head. Aroma is roasted, acidic, sour, bad. Flavor is just awfull and infected ! -- BAD BEER !!! Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. (120208)

Bottle @ Roskilde Øl. Hazy golden with meidum white head. Sweet fruity aroma with orange peel, hops and anise. Same goes for the flavor. Finishes bitter.
