Bottle from Cunningham, many thanks. Hazy golden color with huge white head. Strong malty aroma. Malty taste with grassy hops and little bit harsh bitterness in finish.

400ml, draught at Café Sara. Devil-black body. Shiny, naked surface. Fragile lacing. Promising aromas of dark berries and liquorice. Fine balanced taste profile of dark malts, anise and ale fruitiness joined by a drop of blackcurrant. Nice bittersweet tail. Well bodied. Clean and smooth in the mouth. Excellent brew for the forthcoming holiday season (Oslo 12.12.2013).

Fra flaske på Mandag i Annen (Cardinal), nov-13: nydelig farg med storboblet men kortvarig skum (som storboblede skum ofte er). Mye bedre enn deres kjellerpils, som kom før denne på kveldens program. En deilig og ikke for søt bayerøl som jeg gjerne drikker mer av.

Fra flaske på Mandag i Annen (Cardinal), nov-13: en stram og fin syrligbitter fjøslukt. Kort skum, men kklar og lys gylden. Frisk og god, bitterheten avrundes med litt pepper i den nokså korte ettersmaken.

500 ml swingtop bottle (leftover from Cardinal’s juleøl tasting). Vintage 2013. ABV is 4.7%. Deep brown colour, moderate to low off-white head. Malty aroma, strong notes of brown bread, also some caramel. Flavour more like a brown ale than a dunkel, mildly roasty, nutty and bready notes, some caramel but not too sweet. Decent enough for its strength.

Bottle @ Scooper Tasting in Ulfborg. Pours cloudy robust yellow with abundant airy white head. Clear aroma of citrus, fruit, and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweetish, fruity notes and estery touches. High carbonation. Bitter amd fruity finish. OK.

Bottle @ Invasion U.S.A, Ulfborg 2013. Pours hazy to muddy golden with a small egg white head. Grass, yeast and fruit. Medium bodied. A tad too carbonated. Fairly clean.
