18th Street Brewery in Hammond, IN is a brewpub, taproom, and bottle shop. We specialize in hand-crafted big, small, barrel-aged and even sour beers.
18th Street Brewery was founded as a home brewery by Drew Fox in 2010. After years of hands-on learning and exploration, 18th Street Brewery became official with the release of Sinister DIPA in 2013. Shortly after the Sinister release, we opened a 3,200 square foot brewpub in Gary, IN. Quickly outgrowing that space, we purchased a 32,000 square foot warehouse in Hammond, IN. Our Hammond location now houses our production, packaging, barrel program, a taproom and a full service kitchen. Our original Gary, IN now houses a small 10-barrel open fermentation system, as well as a taproom, craft cocktail bar and kitchen.
We are currently the second largest brewery in Northwest Indiana. Our beers range from saisons to double India Pale Ales to double milk stouts to pilsners and lagers. 18th Street is comprised of hard working, motivated individuals who strive to be the best. We love our jobs. We love our beer. We live and love what we do.

Pint can from Woodman's Appleton, 4/22/22. Dark brown (poor lighting so I'm not sure of the exact color). Medium fizzy brown head, poor retention. Beer looks thicc. Aroma of strong coffee with roast and dark chocolate. Taste is maple, coffee, roast, chocolate. Description says vanilla and cinnamon. I get faint hints of vanilla and the texture of, but not the taste of the cinnamon. Well, the cinnamon does grow as it warms. A bit of tartness. Well balanced. Very nice beer.

Pint can from Festival Northland, 3/25/22. Stoutfest eve stoutfest. Near black, thin fizzy brown head, poor retention. Looks slick. Aroma of chocolate, roast. Taste is chocolate, soy, roast, cherry. Smoke in the end. Slick, a little off balance. Solid.

Enjoyed at home after a weekend wedding trip. Wow this is pretty good and smooth. Blueberries are apparent in the nose and flavor, light bite on the backend, moderate booziness. Rich in chocolate, light hazelnut notes as well.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, oat, coffee and cocoa. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, oat, coffee and cocoa finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Tap@Peders, Copenhagen (19/03/2022) - black with a beige head. Roasted and dark sweet malty with lots of coffee roast, some sweet sticky maple and caramel, ashy roast, full bodied, brown sugar, light vanilla and spiced accents into the lingering dark malty finish. Nice.
