Draught @ Haket. Pours viscous pitch black with a frothy and creamy dark mocha head that slowly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, caramel, toffee, soy sauce, dark roast coffee, chocolate, molasses, sweet and salty liquorice candy, leather, raisins and prunes. Taste is sweet, bitter, fruity and malty with roasted malts, heavy raisins, dark roast coffee, moist soil, leather, burnt cereal, caramel, burnt oatmeal cookies, hay, prunes, dates, chocolate, purple winegums and soy sauce. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly sticky sweet and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet, slightly bitter, malty and fruity with roasted malts, burnt oatmeal cookies, caramel, raisins, prunes, hay, moist soil, leather and sweet soy sauce. Quite tasty and dangerously easy to drink. Perhaps slightly too sweet... --- Beer merged from original tick of Haket Imperial Stout on 24 Jan 2020 at 19:44. Original review text: Sad to say this seems to have lost a lot of character and complexity over time. Still a decent medium roast impy but not what I recall.

Draught @ Haket. Pours hazy goldenish brown with a frothy goldenish offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of thick sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly fruity with white bread, biscuits, grapefruit juice, oily pine cones, freshly cut grass and resinous wood. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter and tiny fruity with bread, biscuits, oily pine cones, resinous wood, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, orange zest and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is soft, slightly round, slightly astringent and light bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and tiny fruity with bread, biscuits, grapefruit juice, resinous wood, pine needles, grass and orange zest. Quite tasty refreshing pale ale...
