0.33l bottle. Love the name. The pour on this is deep dark definitely brown looking and it has a medium sized deep beige colored head. On the nose it has a nice good amount of fruity sweetness. Yeast? Yeah, definitely and it's loaded with dark sweet candied sugar. Is it some sort of Belgian yeast going on here perhaps? Ripe banana sweetness with dates and brown sugar. I somewhat like it, but it gives me an impression that this is going to be one cloying sweet tasting brew. Well, it's actually not. Quite fizzing and big bubbly on the bubbles and it has a mild oily feeling in the mouth. It just has to be some sort of quad this. A nice purple berry sweetness here with prunes, dates and a little raisins. More dark sweet candied sugar, but it's definitely not too sweet or cloying. Lots of flavor, not even a hint of the relatively high alcohol percentage and even in its perhaps lacking some of that deep depth some of these amazing quads sometime has, it's all in all a quite good one! 01.11.2013

0.33l bottle. Really deep dark and brown - not to far from what is within the OK group to call black actually and it has a wonderfully lacing deep dark brown cappuccino head. Gingerly spicy on the nose this, and quite lots of it! Can't say that anything has been saved on here. Pumpkin-ginger with nutmeg, chocolate, lots of roasted goodness and a little bit of vanilla. Lots of aroma! It has a thick almost chewy mouthfeel and a soft prickling carbonation level. Lots of Christmassy flavors also. Spicy indeed and then ginger theme goes again in the taste also. Lots of pumpkin spicy things here, nutmeg and tea. In between all the spices a nice dark chocolate roastiness shines through with soft hints of vanilla. Not something I want to drink loads of in one setting but as a Christmas beer this was quite within the parameters. 01.11.2013

0.33l bottle. This is a really deep dark chestnut brown colored one, kinda cloudy in the glass and it has a medium sized somewhat bubbly light beige head. Oh, it's really butterscotch caramel-like sweet on the nose. Something smells like it shouldn't here. Some butter and brown sugar with a little bit of reed and that's it. It has a thin oily mouthfeel and the carbonation is what it would call soft. Yeah, it has some bitterness. Not as sweet as I had imagined, as it is actually more on the dry side. A little bit of dark malts, a good biscuity sweetness and it's leaving a bitter grassy tail in the mouth. Somewhat mouthdrying as well. I could easily drink this again, but I did not fancy that over sweet buttery aroma. 02.11.2013
