500 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a big, dense tan head. Medium strong aroma of malt, brown sugar, herbs and some butterscotch. Flavor has medium sweet malt, lots of brown sugar, hint of caramel and a bit too much alcohol. Quite heavy body without feeling too balanced and rather sweet in aftertaste. Drinkable but not very elegant, a bit sweet and boozy.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Hazy brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Fairly nice aroma of brown malts, brown sugar and spices (star anise and coriander), hints of orange peel. Nice malty flavour, not too sweet but still with notes of brown sugar, the star anise is fortunately used with moderation, and does not dominate. The coriander and orange peel seem also to have been used with moderation - all in all a fairly well balanced beer.

500 ml bottle - 2015 version, but I assume they are the same. ABV is the same, 4,6%. Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, some caramel and wood, a hint of coffee and dark chocolate. Medium dry flavour, moderately roasty and woody. Not too bad for a 4.6% beer..
