On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Pitch black coloured beer, creamy head of milk chocolate colour. Lovely roasty aroma of dark chocolate and coffee, a hint of exotic woodwork. Roasty flavour, medium dry, coffee and dark chocolate again, a hint of tobacco. Very good.

On tap at Kick. It pours an orange body, lightly unclear, and topped by a finger-thick white head. Kiwi and other tropical fruits in the aroma, orange peel and some malty hints too. Rather interesting, not extraordinary in any way, but refreshing and quenching. Ok bitterness. Medium body. Sure a nice one. 130729

Medium dark brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty spicy chocolatey taste with mealy notes. Dry-sweet roasty burnt peppery taste with resiny oily notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish spicy chocolate and earth aftertaste with grainy resiny roasted rice notes. Nice! Vivid and drinkable. (0.15l draft at Haand 13.)

Keg at the Euston Tap, London during my big day of tickin’ with Mad Mitch. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a fine, creamy white head. Big citrus and tropical fruit aroma, some grapefruit, mango and papaya. Medium sweet flavor with lots of juicy fruits, more papaya, moderate sweet bread, light citrusy bitterness. Light bodied with average to high carbonation. Clean finish with lots of lingering juicy citrus fruits. Lovely beer.

Draught at BrewDog Bar, Stockholm. Perfectly black with dense beige head. Rich aroma of molasses and coffee. Sweet and dull bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Heavily roasty with coffee and hazelnuts side by side with pruned and madeira. Spicy, resiny hops comes through in an immensely bitter finish. Has components from aged Baltic porters that I really like, combined with massive bitter hops.

Draught at PåBesök, Malmö
Black color with creamy brownish head. Nice aroma of roasted malts, cardboard, light coffee, bread. Full bodied, smooth, with strong roasted malt flavor, some dark chocolate, light liquorice, strong bitterness.
A bit more Imperial Stout than Porter, and too roasty for me, but good anyway.

Draught @ Konttori as "Lervig Pale Ale"
Fruity aroma with grapefruit, orange, some gooseberry bush and hints of hay. Flavour is rather hoppy with lots of grapefruit, some gooseberry bush, nettles and distant herbal notes. Also biscuits and hints of caramel. Feels slightly watery on both flavour and aroma side. Easy-going, very refreshing and nice, I like the aggressive hop profile here. Like the Keisari 66 but with more everything.
