Can shared in London - cheers to Kenny. Pours oily black with a creamy, tan head. Medium sweet flavour, big ashy roast character, booze, a little cocoa, woody dryness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, further ashy roast, earth, raisins. Not bad.

Not the L6 bottleshare. Thanks to me for the can. Opaque dark brown beer, small darkish tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Boozy dark chocolate malts, thin on the mouthfeel. Rich coffee on the back end. Airy spicy finish. Drinks easy for the 16% but needs something to bring it all together. Thicker malts perhaps.

16 oz can from Paragon, 5/10/23. Grass and wood, some light herbal notes. Bit of lemon pledge. Consumed wine walking the lake at Roosevelt on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Decent overall, but not clean or crisp enough for me to go higher on the score. Almost felt to me longer they were trying to cover some being issues with the extras, rather than the extras being additive.

Pint can from Niemuth’s, 3/31/23. Hazy amber, large white head, average retention. Aroma of wood, tea, tropical fruit. Taste is tea, bamboo I presume? (a woody note), orange, tropical fruit. Very low bitterness. Decent balance. Definitely not torture.
