Barn Town was built on one word - Passion. Founder Pete Faber was born and raised right here in Des Moines. After college, he ventured into the hospitality business in Chicago. During his 16 years in Chicago, Pete's passion for craft beer and his state of Iowa grew more and more. After contemplating for several years, he decided to move back home to build something that "would make his home town proud of having." Thus spawned Barn Town Brewing.
Our mission is to provide a unique experience through homemade, full-flavored, artisanal ales and chef-inspired elevated American style pub fare. BTB is committed to the use of high quality ingredients, with the access to healthy foods from Iowa farms, and the transparency in ingredient sourcing and use. Barn Town’s value proposition relies on the freshness, quality, and origin of the food and drink.

The Aromas are natural blueberry with a little bit of funky sour in the back. Flavors are like nose with a tarp blueberries dominating and tempered by the lactose with a little bit of Floral. Good body and carbonation with a blueberry sweet tart finish. Not bad.

Sour dominates for a pastry sour barely any sweet. Don't normally associate chocolate strawberries cheesecake with sour and in the aroma it kind of smells like spoiled food. Flavors are marginally better but again fairly dry sour with odd flavor combinations.
