Can thanks to Gibson. Pours a clear orange gold with small frothy white head. The aroma is pine, floral hop and oak. Medium mouthfeel with strong pine and nice bitterness. Very good.

4.9% Can. Tuesday Tasting with a Rogue Creamery Hopyard Grilled Cheese. A clear orange honey amber pour with a thick light beige head. A malty aroma with honey & caramel notes. The taste is surprisingly nutty, roasted barley-ish, sweet & malty. I was expecting something much more hop forward from Pizza Port. The beer on it’s own is a fairly average amber ale, possibly due to it being one week past it’s drink by date(so like 3 months old). With the grilled cheese both become more complex.

16 oz. can in a trade with Phatdog1, much thanks. Hazy gold with slow reseeding white head. Aroma is light grassy and pine hops, notes of hemp weed.

Ok, this brew does deliver what is promised. Larger hop flavor with some balance and sessionable for sure. But why spend the money on a lighter version of a standard IPA? Ok... Anyhow, lightly resinous upfront followed by floral hops with hints of grassy hops. Bitterness lingers slightly with a hints of resin toward back end as well. Very weak doughy malt to try and help with balance. Body is on the thin side.

Yes it is what the brewer advertised. And I love how much how flavor is here for a low ABV brew, but If I pay for an IPA at a normal craft beer cost, I would like a bit more bang for my buck. I guess I think this is a stupid marketing strategy as opposed to a quality style that will stand the test of time. Glad Craig gave me a can too try but this style is silly to me. I will take a DIPA, standard IPA, stout or Imperial stout over this style any day of the week and twice on Saturday.

16oz can pours with a murky hop hazed deep gold body that supports a light tan head of tall foam. The aroma offers up rich pulsing tangelo, clementine, tangerine citrus hoppy goodness lined with thinner notes of mango and yummy dank onion like spiciness. The aroma leaves you helpless where a hurried sip is the only remedy. Yes. The taste delivers solid citrus hop goodness in the form of clementine, tangelo and grapefruit hop bitterness and flavor. These note head right into modest levels of dank onion hop spiciness and a firm sugar malty base. Delicious. This requires further and repeated tastings. More to come.

16 oz. can thanks to Phatdog1. Thanks! Hazy gold in color with lasting fluffy head. Aroma is floral with blooming marigold, honeysuckle and candy sugar.

The flavor is just as awesome as the aroma. Malty, Belgian candy sugar base with bright floral and citrus hops. Some sweet grain. The bitterness is very low and only lightly lingers after it is warm. Medium body with active carbonation. This drinks like a 5% brew and is 6.8. It has a chug able aspect that could make this dangerous. I enjoyed this very much. Get a fresh can or take a trip to CA.
