Starts off badly with the cap being to soft, so not popping up nicely. Thankfully smells great. The apples from the Calvados are quite present here with some nice spices. Hazy amber-brown colour with a foamy beige head, good retention and some nice creamy lacing, all-around and topping the brew. Dark fruits (raisin, fig) taste with some light chocolate malts, spices, alcohol and with some nice bitterness in the finish. No burning though, with a smooth mouthfeel, slightly oily and medium-bodied. Lots going on here making this one quite interesting... and good. The aging in Calvados berrels is a very nice addition.

Bottle - Spicy, oak, caramel and apple sweet notes. Cloudy brown with a thin head. Sour caramel, a bit of red grape and a bit medicinal. Aroma is great but the flavor is completely out of what with a thin body.

Tastes oaky and the wooden flavour overrides most other tastes here. Pours clear brown without head or lacing. Not much carbonation either. Kind of a syrupy mess. Tap at C’est What Cask Festival.

An overbearing sensation of crusty sugar here. Pours clear brown with decent lacing and head. Sugar-cristal caramel scent thick on the molasses-like malt. Finishes sweet with a hint of sourness. Average carbonation. Not bad. Overpriced bottle for quality.
