Description
Taft’s Brewing Company was born in 2015 through the renovation and repurposing of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church which had been built in 1850 in the Over-The-Rhine district of downtown Cincinnati. Known as Taft’s Ale House, success led to the opening of a large-capacity brewing facility just north of the city in 2017. The facility became the headquarters for Taft’s Brewing Company and also features a tap room known as Taft’s Brewpourium. Its year-round and seasonal offerings are available at both locations as well as bars, restaurants and your favorite stores throughout southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Draft at Brewporium. Dark golden pour, skin of persistent head. Aroma is malty, then hoppy. Or hoppy then malty? Minor sweet notes, late dryness. Gateway IPA.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, caramel malt, and dry hay aroma. Dark amber with small head. Moderately sweet nutmeg, caramel malt with lighter notes of cinnamon and ginger plus lightly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. Decent - not really a spice bomb like some pumpkin beers.

Can. A- Hazelnut, earthy, mild chocolate. A- Black color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Hazelnut, roasty, instant coffee. P- Medium body, average texture, slightly high carbonation, slightly unbalanced finish. O- Just not a fan. Loads of hazelnut and I like Deeper Roots coffee but this just isn't for me. Honestly, a well put together brew and not too terribly sweet, but I can't get behind it. Carbonation feels too high and the flavors just aren't balanced or nuanced enough.
