Description
Taft’s Brewing Company was born in 2015 through the renovation and repurposing of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church which had been built in 1850 in the Over-The-Rhine district of downtown Cincinnati. Known as Taft’s Ale House, success led to the opening of a large-capacity brewing facility just north of the city in 2017. The facility became the headquarters for Taft’s Brewing Company and also features a tap room known as Taft’s Brewpourium. Its year-round and seasonal offerings are available at both locations as well as bars, restaurants and your favorite stores throughout southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. On draught at Ten Pin Alley. Clear orange-amber color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, herbal hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Shaker pint draft at Brixx Pizza in Mason, Ohio. The pour is a slightly hazed golden with a minimal white head (it was a very full pour). The aroma is orange citrus, a bit of peel, toasted malt and a bit of pine towards the back. The taste is the fresh hops up front, orange fruit and bitter peel, blended with pine and the toasted malt carries the finish. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation, and a mineral softly bitter finish.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is lime, light body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is lime and grain. I prefer more flavor even for a wheat beer.

Draft. A- Coffee grounds. A- Amber color, clear liquid, white head. T- Coffee, roasty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- This is the latest in what seems to be a trend for coffee blondes. Balanced well so the coffee isn't overpowering but hey, it's coffee in a blonde ale, so it's going to be that way to a degree. Pretty much like liquid coffee grounds...errr coffee.
