Draft at brewpub. Miserable day so quick detour and hope a stout will lift spirits. Fine dark pour. Nose is char and light chocolate. Tastes earthy, ash, touch of rye, chocolate. Ok

On firkin at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear bronze-orange color with a medium frothy off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus and caramel malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, roast malt and caramel. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

On draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy orange color with a medium frothy white head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, pineapple and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, pineapple and grainy malt. The finish is mildly bitter and tart with a pineapple and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the CCBW Six One Pour festival on 05/12/2018. Clear pale golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Fruit, yeast and mild hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hop, fruit and malt. The finish is citrus and grassy hops. Decent overall.

Citrus, hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, tropical fruit and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample from cask at the brewpub. Dark brown color with a medium tan head that recedes quickly to a sparse outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of pineapple, malt and chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of pineapple, toasted coconut and chocolate malt. The finish is malty with a piña colada aftertaste. Decent overall.
