On draught at the brewpub. Pours a brown-black color with a medium thin beige head that recedes quickly to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, malt, chocolate and a touch of smoked pepper. The finish is roasty with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample from cask at the brewpub. The beer pours brown with a medium light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, malt and clove. Medium body with flavors of roast malt, orange and clove. The finish is malty with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the CCBA Summer Session on 08/26/2017. Slightly hazy orange color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of peach, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with a salty peach character and notes of wheat and doughy malt. The finish is mildly tart with a peach aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample from cask at the 14th annual Smokehouse Mini Real Ale Fest on 05/13/2017. Hazy pale golden color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of tart citrus, yeast and vanilla. Light-bodied with flavors of orange, yeast and vanilla. The finish is citrusy with a yeast and vanilla aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

The beer is a clear dark orange color with a minimal white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel and lemon. Light to medium body with flavors of sweet caramel malt, lemongrass and a bit of spice. The finish is malty up front with a lemony aftertaste. Decent overall.

The beer is a murky yellow-orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Tart fruit, yeast and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, herbal yeast and doughy malt. The finish is moderately tart with a citrusy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample from 2015 bottle during the "Local Love 01" tasting on 11/11/2016. Hazy ruddy orange color with a minimal white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lace. Funky fruit, yeast and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of funky pear, yeast and malt. The finish is fruity and oaky with a mildly funky yeast aftertaste. Definitely not sour, but a decent beer.
