Description
six°north was established in 2013. The concept was born in Belgium when founder Robert Lindsay fell in love with the country’s beer culture and tradition. He soon returned to north east Scotland to start brewing his own beers, six°north of Brussels. We make modern, artisanal beers that are driven by Belgian brewing tradition and inspired by modern brewing practices.

Our beers are unfiltered and carbonated naturally through secondary fermentation. We brew classic Belgian inspired beers, as well as modern, hop-forward styles. We also release a number of collaboration beers each year with other breweries.

Keg at ushers. Pours deep brown, nose is toffee, chocolate, little apple, wood, taste is dry, light smoke, fruity berry, rich caramel.

Keg at Salt Horse. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thick white head. Aromas of light lemon, hay. Taste is light sweet malt, faint floral note. Grassy finish.

Keg at Salt Horse. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of iodine, faint tcp. Taste is more of the same, possibly some seaweed. Thin finish. Barrel dominates.

Keg at Salt Horse. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of whisky, faint chocolate. Taste is whisky, wood, more chocolate. Boozy, fruity finish.

Keg at Salt Horse. Pours murky amber with no head. Aromas of strawberries, chewits. Taste is grains, more berries, light sour. Sour, then sweet bread on the finish. Looked awful, but I liked it.
