Canned 1/9/25, drunk 2/2/25.
Heavily hazy, peach-blonde-golden. Large, white head slowly to cover.
Floral and piney notes mix with mild citrus and a bit of softer papaya-like notes. Lots of honey and biscuit from the malt but not overly aromatic. Clean with the usual hoppy edge from CW.
In the mouth it's confoundingly dry, bitter, piney and heavily, heavily crackery. Just not enough deep maltiness, ultimately, despite everything else working just fine here. Lots of pine, floral perfume and citrus with a hint of juicy tropical fruit, but so sparsely textured with a ton of bland/dryness. Not enough comfort/depth/flavor for its size.

Pours clear gold into a willi. Bright white head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Cracker and sourdough aromas. Crisp and dry with sweet grain and straw upfront turning to tart sourdough in the dry, medium length finish.

Canned 10/31/24, drunk 12/10/24. Moderately hazy, brass-maize-golden. Large, white head, slowly recedes to cover. Fruity, lightly juicy nose with lots of citrus and light pine, but no twang/resin. White bread and honey base malts provide good balance. No onion/garlic, but lots of spicy lemon, lemongrass, light woody notes and mild pine. Tons of fruity, lightly juicy citrus and deep malts with good attenuation. Very good balance and flavor.

Canned 8/1/24, drunk 9/8/24. Lighter, clear golden-brass with a hint of deeper honey. Small, white head, sits at light cover. Biscuit, gentle honey, baked bread and mildly spicy, herbal hops. Clean, tending malty. Balanced. Light lager-like crispness on finish. Soft and malty up front, quite deep with an apple-like fruitiness and tons of white bread and honey. Very low bitterness and the expected dryness and/or rustic grain and/or crisp lager finish never quite arrives. Just kind of remains bready and with sweet white bread notes, fruity and somewhat flat on the palate, bogging down severely as the glass wears on. Very clean.

Canned 6/19 drunk 7/15/24. Moderately hazy, brighter peach-tangerine-golden. Small, white head, low-to-moderate retention. Peach, pine, mango and wood give a slightly East Coast-accented West Coast feel to the nose. Cracker and biscuit-like malts seem supportive. Nicely aromatic, clean, snappy, no alcohol or flaw. Lighter in body than the flavor seems to suggest. Lots of cracker with perfumey-floral notes, pine and lemon peel. Great flavors, with hints of tropical character, but this body is just so light. It's not QUITE thin, I wouldn't say, but needs more depth and there needs to be a bit more sweetness or richness to balance all of this pine, wood, lemon and perfume.
