Description
Welcome to the official page of the Lindemans family which has been brewing lambic since 1822. The family has owned a farm since the dawn of time. It was to occupy (and refresh) the peasants in winter that we began our brewing activity. With time and success, our agricultural activities decreased as our brewery developed.
As Darwin said, functions create organs. Today, we are once again expanding our brewery to share the love of our beers beyond our borders.

0.75 l bottle from 'Het Huis van de Geuze', 2017 vintage, bottled in October 2023. Clear, golden orange with a medium large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, gently fruity, quite funky aroma of overripe lemon, oak, white pepper, quite some horse blanket and leather. Hardly sweet, fairly woody-dry, gently sour, rather funky and quite fruity taste of overripe lemon, oak, horse blanket, yoghurt, hay, leather and light barnyard, followed by a medium long, gently tart, fairly woody-dry finish. Medium body, gently astringent and rather effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite rustic, but also fairly elegant Geuze, fantastically balanced, very complex. Outstanding!

Bottle: pours dark red with quickly dissipating pink head. Aroma is loads of berries, kind of like hefty jam. Slightly tart. Sweetish. Perhaps too sweet. Not particularly pleasant.

In der schönen 0,75er Pulle mit 1,1%. In der Nase sehr fruchtig, Pfirsich. Sehr intensiv. Im Trunk angenehm malzig, dazu wundervolle Fruchtnoten. Ganz wundervolles Sommerbierchen. Schleck.

Medium tart, mild funk. The floral notes come through nicely, and almost some light spiced notes. Wonderful.

Sample from jerrycan at Carnivale Brettanomyces 2025, John Versyck blending workshop. Didn't take many notes, just enjoyed good beers and good company. What I do remember: In between 1 and 2 years. Malty, peach yoghurt, some green olive(?), lightly greasy

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy ruby body with a pink head that fades. Lively carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of glazed cherries, cherry cola and mashed strawberries. Flavour of cherry, tart cranberries and a sweet, moreish finish. A sweet, tangy kriek. So much flavour for the ABV.

Pours chocolate brwon, unclear, small white head. Scent is typical Lindemans, fine apple acidity and funk. Taste is full, very aromatic. Dry, tart, lemon, apple. Tad sweet (unsweetened!) , fruity touch from (I assume) the Cognac. Very, very elegant. Very refined, even more so - this could be concidered a pinnacle of refinement. Cognac works super smooth, the roastyness gives more color than aroma, but handles that touch it does give, exceptionally well. Far better than feared. Obviously this is no punch-in-the-face greatness to the likes of some more sounding names in the lambic game, but as a refined, subtile yet very well made lambic, this is exceptionnal.
