Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, Nov 16, 2 weeks old
Ugly light brown, filthy. Light aroma of hops, citrus zest. Off-dry, usual muddy oats flavour, some harsh citrus peel, and a stale feeling; oat and yeast soup. Not overly offensive, but this one went south.

Very clear medium gold body and some pretty good creamy foam. Lots of dank hops on the nose, weedy with candied pine notes. Taste is more weeds, slight grain. Ends smooth with hop sweetness, but nothing really lingers. Clean at least but as Filter said - take a picture, 'cause I won't remember.

Muddy purplish brown body and minimal foam, pretty ugly actually. Kind of a murky fruit jam on the nose and nondistinctive. Taste is cinnamon fruit, apricot maybe, full but ending tinny. ABC is usually smart enough to avoid the tin but here I guess they made an exception ... sadly.

Hazy yellow body and pretty good foam. Big weedy hops on the nose, plenty of chalky melon with pine and breadfruit notes. Taste is more piney melon, ending chalky and a little bit wet. ABC is good at these kind of things though they all feel a bit samey after awhile.

16oz @ Alex's. Appearance: ugly mud, one of the worst looking beers I've ever seen in North America. Aroma: quite hoppy and fruity with a bit if dirty fruits notes. Taste: along the same lines, a bit harsh with some hop burn. Overall: an ugly look with an ok taste.

473mL can, pours a disgusting looking orangey diarrhea brown with a small white head. Nose is not all that nasty, but it's murky and earthy, with lots of suspended dirty yeast, subdued earthy hops, and some butter. Flavour is just vile -- this is all sorts of fucked up -- there's tons of butyric, a little diacetyl, and just nothing else redeeming about this. How could ABC release this? This is all sorts of wrong.

Poured from the tap. Clear-ish yellow gold with small white head. Cereal and biscuit malt with some pine and a decent amount of cardboard. Definitely getting some oxidization here, unfortunately, even a touch of diacetyl.

Nice clear gold body, lots of visible carbonation, and okay foam. Very weedy hops on the nose slightly sweet, grassy in the extreme. Taste is honeyed grass, oodles of weedy hops, and a soft crackery finish. A little getting used to but it's clean and interesting.

Muddy peach body and good foam. Smells of lots of apricot, slight passion fruit. Taste is lots of tartness, juicy apricot, citrus sweetness. Lingering sugar in a good way. This is nice, very refreshing, sweet and fruity and well balanced.

Excellent deep gold body and solid foam poured into a cute little Oktoberfest glass. Smells of nice biscuit and caramel, could be more sweet and bright. Taste is sweet cracker, brown sugar, chewy malt, ending full and smooth. A reliable märzen hitting its notes in a nice way.
