Hazy blond colour. Strong ginger aroma that tends to feel like detergent; the ginger flavour is a bit less strong; it's dry, fresh, peppery.
If a ginger Saison is needed, well this is not too bad.

Draught at the brewery; 4% ABV Cloudy blond colour, greenish. Moderate coconut, light chai, very light roasted coconut; the base beer is light and fairly dry, some wax, with low bitterness. I feel like I entered The Body Shop or a scented candle store. But it's not offensive in the execution.

Dark brown colour with no head. Light aroma of After Eight (mint-chocolate); I guess this is what they were after. But the aroma is quite dusty, the body is very thin, watery, with very little cocoa flavour and a hint of mint.
Not that I would expect much from a bolder version, but this is very timid nevertheless.

On tap at the brewery, board said 4% ABV. Has a boring clear darker yellow body. Aroma is modest lagery hops. Flavour is mellow lager with vague hops, and the mouthfeel is kind of weak. There isn't much going on here at all.

On tap at the brewery. Has just a yellow body, no foam, no carbonation. Smells like suntan lotion almost exactly, oh wait with a bit of patience I can pick up the coconut. Flavour is bright coconut with chai hints. Funny it actually works, and in a great way. Nice dry finish. There are some things working really well in this.

On tap at the brewery. Has a dark and slightly clear body without lasting head. Nice creamy chocolate aroma but I can't trace any peat. Flavour is good strong coffee with a chocolatey back end. Peat? Not so much. Nice dry finish but there is an odd detergent quality in the aftertaste. This could have been glorious if the peat made a showing.

Has an okay coppery malt aroma, nice clear copper boy and a hint of head. Flavour is bright coppery malt with a hint of fruity sourness. Medium finish. This has good flavour but isn't much to look at, and the sour and cranberry could be more prominent with the malt.

On tap at the brewery. Has a modest yellow body with minimal head. Aroma is spicy ginger with some medicinal qualities. Flavour is a nice blend of ginger and wheat, I'm surprised it works. Medium finish. There are some good things going on here, but not in all places.

On tap at the brewery. The aroma is a good honey and lager balance, has a nice yellow body and modest foam. Flavour is a great mix of lager grain with some honey sweetness on the back end. Good dry finish. This has a nice balance, I really liked this one.

On tap at the brewery. Medium brown. Not much head. A bit of fudge and chocolate on the nose. The pinot barrel lends a touch of fruitiness though not much else...and it spent several months there. Thereβs a thinness to the base stout that I find makes it poorly suited for barrel aging.
