Growler. Pours a mahogany color. Aromas of dark toffee, dry malts and a bit of cardboard. Flavors of oranges, dry caramel, and bitter grass. A bit odd.

Growler. Bright amber-brown colour. Thin head. The aroma shows a lot of sweet, sticky malts, some woody hops. Sticky. Bitter - quite astringent actually. The malts aren’t sweet at all, opposite of what I thought given the nose. It’s light for a 3IPA, but ok for 2IPA. Not much hop brightness, which is too bad...mostly that piney, woody character. Ok, but malts are unrefined, and the hops aren’t very bright.

Growler, pours a dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, vegetal notes, and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour brings out a spicy, earthy, herbal hop character, and backed by biscuity malt. Spicy and earthy, with a strange harsh astringency on the finish. What's going on here? Doesn't strike me as an Imperial IPA, let alone an IPA. Odd stuff.

On tap at Dogwood, pours a hazy pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out a mix of coconut and chai, as expected. Flavour is pretty weak, with a mix of coconut and lighter chai. Not much depth, and a rather watery palate. Pretty weak and lifeless.

On tap at Dogwood, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of sweet Belgian yeast, floral notes and light coriander. Flavour is pretty estery, with lots of fruity sweetness, light coriander, and floral notes. Almost no depth, but inoffensive. Lifeless.

On tap at Dogwood, pours a clear dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light notes of grassy hops and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is similar, with dry grassy hops and toasted biscuity malt - slight English quality to it. Nothing special but clean enough.

On tap at Dogwood, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of sugar and gingerbread spices. Flavour is along the same lines, with gingerbread cookies in liquid form with medium sweetness. Not an elegant beer but it's decent.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Golden color, hazy. The aroma is perfumy, with fruity esters; the flavor is just moderately sweet; I don’t believe this is almost 10%, it tastes like 5%. Non descriptive malt flavor, a lot of fruity esters from the yeast, a stone fruit character that is not so clearly peach, lowish bitterness.
Anonymous beer, but not bad.
