On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of fruity esters, though wouldn't necessarily guess peaches, along with lots of Belgian yeast and residual sweetness. Flavour is not as sweet as expected, with a fair amount of fruity esters upfront, moderate sweetness and fairly prominent but not too intrusive alcohol. Nothing very complex going on here and it certainly doesn't come across as authentic Belgian strong ale, but it has no discernible flaws. Okay.

@ Red Racer. Cloudy pale, has a basic tartness with some dirty yeast, lots of phenols in the finish. Not a clean beer.

On cask at St. Augustine's, pours an opaque yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of salt and citrus tartness - smells okay. Flavour isn't offensive, with sweet and sour notes upfront, a fair amount of lacto, and lots of salt. Finishes on slight cleaner notes. Doesn't seem as bad to me as the other folks, but it's certainly no prized gose.

Murky blond color. The aroma is a bit lemony, but there are also vegetables. The flavor is full of vegetables, a bit sour, a bit salty, a bit spicy; quite unpleasant.

Draft - Sweeet peanut and salty notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, sour, salty, meaty and just not great.

On cask at Yaletown, pours an opaque dark mahogany / dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma brings out loads of bitter metallic notes and faint maple. Flavour is about the same, with maple and astringent metallic notes. Another disaster from these guys. Really bad.

On tap at Dogwood, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of ginger and ginseng, true to form. Flavour follows accordingly, with lots of ginger and ginseng. Despite this, it's not overt spicy, and actually has a slight sweetness. Not a fan of these gimmicky spiced beers.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Very dark color, not yet black, with creamy head. Light aroma and light flavor, quite dry; a bit nutty and roasty.
Nothing flawed here, just an extremely boring and weak beer.
