On tap at Mariner, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma has some grapefruit peel, sweaty hops, light resinous hops, and big bready malt. Flavour doesn’t have the most pleasant hop expression, with some sweatiness, grapefruit peel, and resinous notes. Big malt backbone too. Not a fan of the hop expression, nor the construction in general.

On tap at Mariner, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is a bit muffled, with toasted grains and earthy, bready malt. Flavour is crisp, with a nice bitter grassiness, some herbaceousness, and crisp crackery malt. Much cleaner on the palate than the taste. Crisp, clean, reasonably biting.

On tap at Mariner, pours a clear dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma has dry toasted malt, and some muffled earthiness. Flavour is fairly dry, with toasted malt, some earthiness, and very gentle sweetness. Clean and reasonably constructed. Pleasant.

On tap at Mariner, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has some spicy Belgian yeast, coriander, and a touch of esters. Flavour is much the same, with spicy Belgian yeast, gentle esters, not too much sweetness. Huh… this is actually pretty solid—doesn’t fall victim to the usual problems that North American brewers usually fall victim to in this style. Solid!

On tap at Mariner. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Light orange citrus and loads of lacto on the nose. Flavour has orange, guava, and a ton of lacto. Mild acidity. Pretty middling kettle sour.

On tap at Mariner. Pours clear brown with a white head. Lots of brown sugar, cloves, and nutmeg on the nose. Flavour has thin dry winter spices, a very thin malt backbone with some dry brown sugar notes. Fairly one-dimensional beer with not much base.

On tap at Mariner. Pours clear gold with a white head. Fresh pine and yuzu citrus on the nose. Flavour is a bit sweaty with notes of oily resinous pine and bitter grapefruit peels. Not great, the hop expression is pretty poor.

[Updated on 30/11/25] On tap at Mariner. Pours clear gold with a white head. Crisp straw malts and dry grassy hops on the nose. Flavour has a clean biscuit malt base with lots of crisp straw and dry grass. Nice clean lager, I like this much more than the last time.
[09/11/24] 5oz pour at brewery. Pours clear blonde with small white head. Aroma has some soggy straw and cabbage. Flavour has grass, soggy straw; rather skunky. Not great.

Poured from the tap @ Mariner. Clear blonde with small white head. Belgian esters with a noticeable astringency and touch of booze. The astringent character is quite unpleasant, not sure if the almost undetectable pear and honey may be causing it.
