Light haze, mellow amber. Thin head. Smells mostly yeasty, like back of the fridge sort of mustiness. On the palate, the malts are dull, and it's more yeasty than showing a good yeast character. Low bitterness, but enough, and there's a bitter crackery note. So it's quite muddled and tough to figure out what the biere de mars character is here. Kind of nothing to offer.

Bottle - Intense dark roast and chocolate, with nice dark fruit. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Dark roast and dark fruit, but a bit over carbonated which mutes some of the rich flavors.

Hazy and almost greyish-pale. Not much head. This doesn't have a whole lot of aroma, sort of a dullish hop note and a dollop of yeast. Light body, not much hop, like really low bitterness, much lower than fits the style. Touch appley. The malt character is a bit flat - honestly lacks both the malts and the hops that you'd want in this style. Misses the mark entirely for me.

330ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a large, creamy, long lasting, brown head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel and light smoke. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, caramel, ash, earth and bitter coffee with a warming booze finish. Medium to full body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Ok.

330ml bottle. Pours a murky red-brown with a large, foamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready malt, caramel, apple, pear, brown sugar, raisin, musty yeast and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready malt, caramel, toffee, raisin, fig, brown sugar, apple, pear, musty yeast, grass and floral hops with a dry, bitter, warming booze finish. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. A hoppy Barley Wine that would probably mellow with aging.

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy red mahogany with full head. Aromas of brown sugar, raisins, bready malts and a little grass. Flavors of sugary dark fruit, candi sugar, toasted malts, and bread crusts. Grassy bitter finish. Still a bit harsh. Needs to sit awhile.

650ml bottle. Pours a cloudy gold-orange with a small, bubbly, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of wheat malt, caramel, orange peel, yeast, coriander and clove. Sweet flavour of bready wheat malt, muddled citrus peel, yeast and coriander in a dry finish. Light body with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing and easy to drink. I’m told the B.S. stands for Belgian Style and ummmm, not something else. Who knew?
