Description
Here in Summerland, we're passionate about cider. Our focus is on quality and we believe we have achieved something pretty close to perfection. What sets us apart is that our all-juice cider is made using European cider apple varieties that we grow ourselves in our orchards. Though not very good for eating, these apples contain a surprising amount of tannins. This is what gives our cider not only its beautiful golden colour, but when fermented, results in a richly flavoured, surprisingly complex drink.

Sweet, more strawberry than rhubarb, apple sort of buried. A bit heavier than mainstream but otherwise leaning into the simplicity.

Hazy. Pale, soft body with pineapple core. A touch of icing sugar, and mild apple. They farm-pressing a lot of pineapple in the Okanagan these days?

Bottle sampled at BC Cider Fest 2023, pours a clear blonde with almost no head. Nose brings out gentle pineapple upfront, with subtle apple skins. Flavour is fairly dry, with pineapple upfront backed by dry apple skins. Not complex but clean and drinkable. It's fine.

Bottle sampled at BC Cider Fest 2023, pours a cloudy dull yellow. Aroma brings out pungent earthy rhubarb, plenty of strawberry, gentle apple skins. Flavour is fruity and fairly dry, with lots of rhubarb, strawberry and a touch of crisp apple skins. Lots of strawberry and earthy rhubarb on the finish. It's fine.

Poured from the tap. Dull peach colour with small white ring. Mostly apple with a hint of blackberry and even feinted hint of mint. What’s the point of flavouring it so subtle you can barely taste it?

Nice carbonated rosé body with good foam. Good blackberry on the nose, slight apple sharpness, vague mint on the back end. Taste is mostly apple and slight blackberry to help round it out mint comes in as an aftertaste. Bone dry finish, good carbonation, wonderfully executed.

Good foam on a stormy pale straw body. Nice lime and saltiness on the nose, hints of apple, capturing the spirit pretty well. Flavour is soft apple, salt, maybe some lime. Good crispness, lingering citrus. Not bad, surprisingly working pretty well.
