Description
Here in Summerland, we're passionate about cider. Our focus is on quality and we believe we have achieved something pretty close to perfection. What sets us apart is that our all-juice cider is made using European cider apple varieties that we grow ourselves in our orchards. Though not very good for eating, these apples contain a surprising amount of tannins. This is what gives our cider not only its beautiful golden colour, but when fermented, results in a richly flavoured, surprisingly complex drink.

Tasting at Erik’s
Hazy pale blond colour. Strong aroma, perfume, some stone fruit. There is a light residual sweetness, light stone fruit, light acidity.
Pleasant.

500mL bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with pickles, with plenty of dry hops, and light peach. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry hops, fuzzy peaches, and some pickles. Not very integrated, and lacking on the peaches. Meh.

Light peach, and with a slight bit of haze. On the palate, there's a touch of diacetyl, a bit of acidic. I think there's some apple notes. A bit of bitterness, but I would say that none of this comes together.

Dull green-yellow sort of colour. Has a lot of tannins, decent bitterness and just at ouch of appely fruitiness. The base cider is this ok scrumpyish thing, the hops not a bad addition. All told, it's acceptable.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry, crisp apples, with a touch of a farmhouse character. Flavour is bone dry, with crisp apples, a bit of farmhouse character and some earthy, musty, BO-like notes. Bone dry and crisp finish. Nothing special, but a bit above average for BC ciders.

Draught at Billy Miner Ale House, Maple Ridge
Pale blond colour, hazy. Mild aroma; the mouthfeel is off-dry, weak body, light acidity; it has mild apple character, and a tiny fruity touch that can be the cherries.
One more uninspired BC cider.
