500mL bottle, pours a clear dark orange with a small white head. Aroma has very subtle bourbon barrels, caramel bready malt, and a touch of orange marmalade. Flavour is much the same, with subtle bourbon barrels, caramel malt, orange marmalade, and a touch of toffee. Not super complex, but has a nice malt base and just enough barrels to accentuate. Very good.

Light amber, with slight haze. Not much haze. The aroma does have a bit of phenol, which is unfortunate, a bit headsy. On the palate, it is a bit sticky, a bit phenolic, the bourbon is just okay and I think it is kicking off the phenols. I don't hate it, but it's not as clean as it could be, and as such doesn't showcase enough fermentation complexity.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Hazed amber gold with small white head. Sticky sweet, more of a wheat wine than barley wine, not picking up bourbon barrels, decent for BC.

500mL bottle. Pours mostly clear dull gold with a minimal head. Golden rains, light sugars, and some smoky wood on the nose. Flavour has golden raisins, dried light fruits, woody bourbon. Not particularly complex, but it's pleasant enough.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper colour with no head. Aromas of postage stamp, vegetal oak, and toasted malts. Flavors of cheap bourbon, green oak, raisins and toasted malts. Finishes with a hot dose of booze and faint Vega to notes. Not up to par with previous years and may be infected. Local “bourbon-style” barrels?

Tasting at Ryan's, bottle
Golden colour, just slightly hazy. Nice aroma of toffee and bourbon. Sweet, full bodied, it has some mellow toffee, and tons of vanilla/bourbon, and lots of alcohol warmth; it's not complex, but it's (simply) pleasant.

Pale amber, just a slight haze. The aroma is malty, and there's some bubblegum to it. Soft body. Light sweetness. Touch of caramel. The barrel brings a fair bit of alcohol and sweetness. The base is fairly simple and I'm not convinced that the treatment adds to it.
