About
Our founder and head brewer, Wade Brown, was born and raised in Colorado, where he cultivated a passion for quality crafted beer. After moving around the United States, he ultimately found his home in Calgary in 2012. Once again settled at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Wade embarked on his greatest adventure yet…to bring a bit of his home to Canada. He opened Born Colorado Brewing in the Barley Belt in April, 2018, with co-owner and partner Erin McQuitty.

At Born Colorado Brewing we believe beers are more than a beverage. They are laughing until you can’t breathe and camping under the stars in Banff. They are backyard barbecues on Canada Day and sunburns from Spring skiing. That is why BCB brews crisp, fresh, unique beers that have you itching for your next journey.

The BCB taproom is a place to engage with our vibrant city. We provide the beer and space for you to write your story. BCB is a place where strangers become friends over good brews, lots of laughs, and adventure. Come say hi! We can’t wait to host you!

Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, peach, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, grapefruit rind, mango, pineapple, apricot, cantaloupe, earthy yeast and pine resin in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a thick, smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. Juicy and refreshing.

Well balanced and tasty.

Sweet flavour of toasted biscuit malt, chocolate, toffee, orange peel, nuts and leafy green hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Delicious, one of the best brown ales I've ever tried.

Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, watermelon and grassy hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Pretty simple and could use more watermelon, but it's refreshing and crushable.

Sweet, spicy flavour of grainy pale malt, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla and oak in a dry, mild bitter, warming rum finish. Full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. I really wanted to love this, but I think it fell a bit short. Good but not great.

Sweet, spicy flavour of roasted malt, milk chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla and bitter coffee in a dry, warming finish. Medium body with a rich, creamy smooth texture and soft carbonation. Nicely spiced without being overwhelming. A tasty dessert beer.

Drinks much bigger than the 4.5% abv would suggest.
