On tap at Cumberland, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out butterscotch, with bready malt and subdued floral hops. Flavour is similar, with floral hops, a trace of diacetyl and bready malt. Flawed but not disastrous. Meh.

On tap at Cumberland, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, little else. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready English malt and a hint of toasted caramel. Dry and bready finish. It's alright.

On tap at Gladstone, pours a hazy dull copper yellow with a small white head. Aroma is muffled and flat, with dull earthy hops and bready malt. Flavour is rather muffled as well, with flat earthy hops. Not much English character. Muffled and not on point. Weak.

Has an excellent lasting foam, something too many barley wines lack, and it's on a very nice cloudy mellow brown body. The aroma is all sugary grains and soft barley. Flavour is really nice sweet caramel and molasses. Not overpowering and not heaping alcohol or sugar in your face like so many other barley wines. Mouthfeel is nice and round, not too overbearing. This isn't a high abv barley wine but it hits all the notes well. Memorable.

Has an odd sweet smell of chewing gum and a nice white foam on clear gold liquid. Flavour is good rye, some sweetness leaning towards detergent notes. Full and round on the mouth, a decent sweet rye brew, refreshing.

Has a good oily barley smell with coffee notes, a nice black body on it with beige foam. Flavour is mellow sweet barley and chocolate cake hints. Mouthfeel is ful and round. It's just nice, approachable, drinkable.

Smells of very soft hops, has a clear medium gold body with a bit of bleach white head. Flavour is nice bright malts and some hoppiness, full enough mouthfeel, subtle but suitable.
