On tap at the brewpub in brewery. Clear medium copper with a generous white head leaving a ton of tight lace . Nose is caramel, grassy hops and some pronounced fruity notes. Taste is light butterscotch and a light+ grassy bitterness but a touch of butter throws things off. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a crisp finish. 6/3+/5/3/11

Medium brown, light cocoa...pretty basic porter nose. A bit sweet on the palate. Nice fudgey character and maybe a toasty dryness in the finish. Decent porter, wouldn’t mind a touch more bitterness.

Bright shiny copper. Low head. Sweet, estery, little bubblegum. Sweet finish, too. Tastes more Belgian than the Belgian.

Dark brown. Really dank, weedy hop nose with more of a toasty malt note. Similar hop taste, more chocolate but still a bit toasty. The hop character has a touch of grassiness that doesn’t flow but in general I quite like it.

Slight haze, medium head. Nice lacing, actually. Strong biscuity nose, light esters but finishes harsh, thin, astringent. Damn...this was going somewhere.

Straw, with a thick, looks nice. Has a delicate hop spiciness, light pale malts, sweet, subtle corn but mostly pale malts. Delicate hop and ester. Basically, they nailed the style. My score reflects more on how impressed I am with that than how much I actually enjoyed the beer, b/c it’s not a style I favour.
