From cask at Bow bar. Pours clear and somewhat pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is light fruity hops. Starts sweet flavoured and descending into a nice fruity note. Vague malty note. Holds a more spiced flavour from the hops towards the finish. Ends medium dry yet also light fruity.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Reddish amber with a thin off-white head; aroma of malt and toffee; sweet and malty flavours with chestnut and toffee. Really drinkable despite the sweetness.

Cask-conditioned at the Knights Templar (JDW), London 16/10/08. Ruddy brown in colour with a slight off-white head. Red fruits, some caramel and floral hops were evident throughout, with a short dry finish. Ok.

Cask handpull at Market Porter. Red/russet, lasting beige head. A fruity bitter, dark red, black fruits. It’s got good condition. Really good fruity hop bitterness on finish. Fruity malt on aroma. You expect it to be quite juicy, but the hop on the end is aridly drying. Surprising.

Cask, gravity dispense at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th and 19th 2008 (actually had this on the Thursday 17th) Poured mid/warm golden with white head. Blackberry was what shone through in the aroma and this was also was very noticeable in the mouth along with a nice fresh crispness and decent fruity body, I rather liked this but felt that more than a pint and it could become a bit wearing and too sweet, still interesting and rather nice.
