Sample from a bottle at Jackie O’s as part of Ohio Brew Week. The beer is a murky reddish-brown color with a medium thin light tan head that recedes quickly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and a touch of horseradish. Medium body with flavors of roasted nuts, tart berry and grainy malt. The finish is grainy with a berry aftertaste. Something seemed off about the beer, I would like to try it again sometime.

bottle at papsoe tasting, shared by plovmand. dark clear amber , small light brown head. charchoal, sweet roasted malts, salty peanuts in the aroma. that’s a first. flavor is roasted stuff, powdered sugar, nuts, sweet malts.
