Black , no head. Vague roast nose and palate , not a sweet stout at all, and not much here

On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is pure diacetyl fuck right off, nasty. Flavour is pure butter absolutely atrocious and undrinkable bullshit plus some sweet cough syrup to round out the experience. Atrocious.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Mild (low-ish quality) bourbon with a feint hint of wood glue on the nose. Taste is quite a roasty milk stout with the bourbon character just a feint character in the background. The roasty base is actually decent and I would tender to say that the poor quality bourbon takes away from it. Had they used a better quality bourbon, this could actually be very good.

On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of coffee beans, a hint of cocoa nibs, and toasted malt. Flavour is a little more muted, with muted cocoa and coffee, toasted malt, and a touch of earthiness. Not bad flavours but they don't come through well, and the base beer seems a bit too flimsy. Okay.

Poured from the tap. Very dark brown with small tan head. Quite coffee forward, some gentle roast. A little thin, but to be expected at 5.4%. Decent.

Poured from 355mL can. Very pale blonde with quickly dissipating white head. Slightly bread malt, mild grain. Simple and clean.

Poura very nice hazy yellow body with okay foam. Smells of chalky honeydew melon, slight armpit. Taste is good chalky melon, tangy pine. Finishes nicely dry, more tang on the back end. It's a good hazy, hitting all the right notes at the right level.

Has weak medium gold body and minimal foam. Smells plenty of McDonald's orange drink, quite well replicated. Taste is cereal grain and pine, bready and slightly tangy, vague cheddar cheese. ends too wet, lacking body. Has some nice ideas but so thin it's barely there.

Has weak clear faint yellow body and minimal foam. Smells of very faint lemon. Taste is very weak grain, honey, faint corn. Finishes wet but clean at least. There's very little here, forgettable but not awful.
