On tap at Dageraad, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a touch of black pepper, and light smoke. Flavour is quite smoky, with lots of toasted malt, a bit of cracked black pepper, and light smoke. Dry and smoky finish. Solid.

Draught at Dageraad, Burnaby
Black colour. Aroma of roasted malts. Smooth mouthfeel, roasted malt flavour, some ashes, but nothing too aggressive; quite dry, maybe thin, without smoke.
They suggest that you will be getting a smoked Porter, but I have a different opinion and this is a Stout.
Very good Stout.

Opaque, dullish tan, thick head. Abundant weedy hops. Has a fair bit of bitterness, just enough pale malt, and a weedy, slightly citrusy hop note.

Sept 30, 2025 (6/3/6/3/13=3.1): Poured from the tap @ Wheelhouse. Clear blonde gold with small white head. Crisp, bite-y pine hops, a bit oily, light biscuit malt, very feint hint of diacetyl on the finish, but detracts minimally.
Nov 13, 2017 (7/3/7/3/15=3.5): Poured from the tap. Very hazy golden orange with off white head. Tropical hops with mild pine and funk. Well balanced.

Sept 30, 2025 (7/3/7/3/12=3.2): Poured from the tap @ Wheelhouse. Hazy yellow with small white head. Light citrus hops, slightly yeasty, wouldn’t necessarily classify this as a blonde ale, it’s okay.
Nov 13, 2017 (7/3/7/3/14=3.4): Poured from the tap. Cloudy orangey yellow with white head. Mild tropical hops with slight funk. Decent balance.

Poured from the tap. Hazy, almost cloudy golden orange with off white head. Light berry with spruce and mild pine. Lots of flavour, but not completely harmonious.

Poured from 650mL bottle "Smokehouse Kolsch" (ABV listed at 5%). Clear pale yellow with white head. Mild cereal malt overlaid with light smoke. Smoke flavour blends well and is mild enough for noobs to try.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Slightly hazy pale yellow with full white head. Mild yeast, light spice, simple, but well balanced. Not particularly interesting though...
