Description
A.M.O, in addition to the verb, also contains the initials of its founder, Margaret Orlowski, who says that the best work and the best results come when a person loves what he does.

Margaret learned to make craft beer in Canada, her country of origin, and upon arriving in Portugal she continued to produce small batches to share with friends. More and more people came to know her recipes and in 2016 Margaret decided to formalize her hobby and turn it into a nano-brewery in the heart of Lisbon.

Now, A.M.O celebrates almost 5 years alongside friends, colleagues, customers, partners and volunteers, celebrating countless cups and smiles!

33cl bottle from the brewery, gifted. Thanks! Clean and clear penny copper pour. Quick fading head bready malts on the nose, with subtle hints of dark fruit. Flavor is much easier drinking than the majority of brews within the style. Some slightly dusty bready malts. Cool finish. Really fun brew here.

33cl bottle from the brewery, and gifted. Thanks! Really impressed with this porter. Bitter, toasty, flavorful. Near black pour, lasting cola foam head. Toasty, bready malt aroma, with hints of cocoa. Flavor has a bitter front and finish. Middle palate has a nice milk chocolate flavor that the sweetness is battled and defeated by the bitter note. Soft coffee bean on the linger. Slight hints of berry notes hide in this as well. Ends up being a nice, layered, flavorful, unique porter. Really happy with this brew. Standout.

33cl bottle poured, picked up at the brewery and gifted by my Dad. Thanks! Berry reddish purple pout, rocky white foam. Really unique appearance to this brew, and not one I really expected. Aroma has lots of wort, hints of berry and zest. Cool and refreshing balance of lemon, berry, and gentle funk. Lemon element gives this a slight tart character. Finishes more dry, and the distinct wort from the aroma shows up on the palate as well. Late notes of grape jam. Fun wild brew here. Probably haven't had anything like it.

33cl bottle poured, from the brewery, gifted by my Dad. Thanks! Previously a winter seasonal, I'm enjoying the hell out of it in the middle of summer. Best by 12/24. Dark, coffee black pour, tan rocky foam head. Aroma has some dough, milk chocolate, and gentle vanilla like cream. Flavor is a nice combat of bready malts and barely sweet chocolate tones. Toasty, more bold finish. Imperial porter with a lighter feel. Forever lingering cocoa and malty finish. Really fun, tasty brew here.

33cl bottle poured, brought back from the brewery. Gifted by my Dad. Thanks! Fun to try these beers from a brewery I hope to visit one day, but might not get the chance. Thicker cloudy caramel orange pour, patchy foam head. Rich malt nose, caramel and ripe citrus. Flavor is definitely leaning towards malt. Bready and caramel malts with a cool constant, soft piney hop, and lingering citrus. Layered hop profile, but its masked by a sturdy malt. Flavorful IPA. Unique. Enjoyed this one.
