Draught @ Soma. Semi-sweet, light crispness. Definitely aiming at the mainstream, and it comes across clean and mid-range.

Good sweet lavender aroma, has a soft clear yellow body with no foam to speak of. Flavour is nice floral lavender, good honey sweetness to back it up. Mouthfeel is okay but a little thin for something like this. It's not bad, reasonably balanced.

Vague cherry skin aroma, has a nice copper rosé body, but little foam. flavour is an excellent meld of cherry and dry cider, has a tawny port character even, with soft apple hints and wood thoughtfully permeating throughout. Mouthfeel is full and semi-dry as advertised. This is very nice, a standout not just for this cidery but for B.C. as a whole.

Smells of heavy oak with strong vanilla, has weak clear yellow body of no distinction. Flavour is heavy cloying oak, very soft apple. Mouthfeel is incredibly cloying. More needs to be done with the oak, it just overpowers everything else.

On tap at Soma, pours a clear dark amber. Aroma is semi-sweet with vanilla, bourbon, toffee sweetness, and apples. Flavour is along the same lines, with toffee sweetness, light cherries, bourbon and vanilla. Nice incorporation of the oak and cherries. Good stuff.

Re-rate at the cidery - Smells of bright green apple, sweet, much sweet than semi-sweet. It was poured too high and there's no foam on a modest yellow body. Flavour is soft sweet apple, simple but okay. Mouthfeel is decent with good carbonation. It's simple but drinkable. 7 2 6 3 12 = 3.0 March 01, 2020 - The aroma is soft sweet apple with some wood, has vague clear yellow body with no foam. Flavour is okay sweet apple with vague caramel. Mouthfeel is full and there's an okay aftertaste. It's not a great cider but a drinkable one. 5 1 6 3 11 = 2.6

Vanilla, wood, baking spice and cooked apple. Clear gold. Lots of oak notes and some cooked apple with a reasonably dry finish. Considering what it is, it isn't that bad.
