Description
Caravel Craft Brewery gets its name from a specialty crafted ship, the Caravel, which was originally built for Portuguese explorers and eventually used by the Spanish in the 15th and 16th centuries. This ship was known for its ability to conquer headwinds with great ease and maneuver to previously unreachable regions of the globe. It is on this kind of ship that Canada was unexpectedly discovered in an attempt to reach India.
The sense of exploration is what Caravel Craft Brewery all about. Caravel was born from the love of beer and the passion to bring craft goodness to others. We pride ourselves in taking great care throughout the entire brewing process to provide a product our customers will love and remember. The brewery, located near the Calgary airport, has a large taproom and it is a hub for both travellers and locals alike to come together over a well-crafted beer.

Perfumy spicy almost shampoo notes. Deep brown with a small white head. Sweet and malty with a rich Perfumy note. Cinnamon, molasses and ginger, but a whack load of others. A bit over the top.

650ml bottle at The Keg in Lethbridge. Pours a slightly hazy ruby with a thin, short lived, beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of bready malt, caramel, earth and nuts. Sweet flavour of bready malt, caramel, honey, nuts and light roast with earthy bitterness in a dry finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Pretty decent.
