On tap at 12 Kings, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto upfront, with gentle, fresh watermelon. Flavour is very crisp and punchy on the watermelon, with a nice crisp crackery malt base, and appropriate lacto expression. Crisp, fresh and fruity. Nice stuff.

Draught at Britannia, Richmond
Cloudy amber colour with creamy head. Mild aroma of spicy Saison yeast. The same yeast is less present in the flavour, also it's moderately sweet and fruity, grapey, but didn't get much barrel character apart from that. Some phenol and anise in the final.
Not bad.

Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy pale blond colour. Dry, mildly fruity, lowish range of sourness, with cucumber water, lightly salty too. Light puke in the aroma.
Summer beer, not too bad.

Cloudy golden colour. The hops here are very piney, also a bit zesty, with a crisp malt base and a good body strength.
Very good IPA

Draught @ St. Augs. Dull amber with a slight haze. Not much head. Plasticy phenols are the most prominent aromatic feature, to my dismay. Same on the palate...sticky, little bit of bubblegum, lots of plastic. Gluey malts, and a noted absence of the grape must that was added. Disappointing - the saison yeast used here has dominated the fermentation, and was done at too warm a temperature, so because stuck and phenolic. The result is an unpleasant, underattenuated mess that you might solve by firing it into a barrel with some brett for nine months, but certainly doesn't work as is.
