Description
Calling West Toronto's Junction neighbourhood home, founders Tom Paterson and Doug Pengelly started Junction Craft Brewery (JCB) in 2011 with a mission to create the highest-quality, hand-crafted beers. Since that time the brewery has grown and expanded its product offering adding great new styles and brands available across the province.

In 2018 the business moved to its current home located in a former City of Toronto 1930's art-deco incinerator, affectionately known as 'The Destructor". Decommissioned in the 80's, used for raves in the 90's and beautifully restored in 2018, the award winning heritage building is the perfect spot to enjoy a part of Toronto's past, hangout in our intimate yet spacious taproom, grab a brewery tour and of course sample great, fresh beer.

In 2019 JCB continued its expansion adding St. Mary Axe and socially responsible beer brand Caribru to its family of products.

On tap at Junction, pours a clear blonde with a small white head - this looks nothing like a NEIPA. Aroma brings out pithy stone fruits, some dankness, a little weed, and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with weedy notes, sort of tart stone fruits, and biscuity malt. This doesn't seem dialed in right. Pretty lame.

On tap at Junction, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp crackery malt and grassy hops - decent bite. Flavour is crisp, with crackery malt and a little grass. Under-hopped, but pleasant enough. Finished dry and grainy, lacking the bite you'd want on this style.

On tap at Junction, pours a reddish dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy notes, some roast, and soft coffee grounds. Flavour is clean and robust, with earthy notes, roast, and a hint of coffee. Earthy and roasty in a good way. Good stuff.

Pours a very slight hazed golden colour with a big white cap, good retention and full lacing. Sweet malt aromas with some cereal grain notes and light hops. The hops show up more in the mouth with some decent bitterness in the finish, and light dryness. Mild cereal grain in the background. Decent craft lager.
