On tap at brewery. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma is dank, piney, and vinous. Flavour has dank and pine up front and a smooth vinous finish. Fantastic Nelson hop expression, clean and smooth.

On tap at APEX, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Nose has some sweaty hops, earthiness, and bready malt. Flavour is full of earthy hops, some sweatiness, and a touch of citrus. A bit too muffled and underwhelming for Ruse.

On tap at APEX, pours a clear blonde with a small white bead. Aroma brings out gentle dank hops, pine, and biscuity malt. Flavour has a nice dry piney hop character and biscuity malt. Dry, woody, piney hops on the finish. Very good.

On tap at Ruse, pours a minimally hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is extremely dank for a Nelson bomb, with lots of piney hops, pot galore, and dry biscuity malt — not the usual Nelson expression, though as it warms I do pick up more white wine character. Flavour is much more standard Nelson, with tons of white wine hop expression, mega-dankness, light tropical notes, and a crisp biscuity malt. Dank, vinous and assertive. Excellent.

On tap at Ruse, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly dry and woody in the hop expression, with pine and some grapefruit rind. Flavour is also dry and woody in the hop expression — thank you, Chinook — with dry pine, some gentle oiliness, and crisp biscuity malt. Woody, dry and piney. Excellent.

On tap at Ruse, pours a clear blonde with a a white head. Aroma brings out gentle berries, tropical fruits, and some piney hops. Flavour is clear and bright, with piney hops, some subtle gooseberries, and crisp biscuity malt. Excellent clarity and balance. Superb WC pale.

On tap at Ruse, pours an opaque sludgy orangey colour of some sort with bubbles. Aroma smells like an alcoholized mango and pineapple smoothie. Flavour is sweet, tart and surprisingly not harsh with lots of juicy mango and pineapple. Mouthfeel is sludgy and frothy like a smoothie. I hate that this style has infiltrated beer, but it's admittedly a nice smoothie.
